Central Virginia Chapter of American Institute of Architects is excited to announce a call for entries for our bi-annual Chapter Honors and Design Awards! The Honors & Awards Committee encourages every chapter member to enter as many projects as possible. To all who submit and the nominees they wish to honor, AIA Central Virginia thanks you for the great work you do!
All Entries due: 5PM, August 24th, 2026
We invite members to nominate colleagues, students, mentors, or organizations making an extraordinary impact within our Central Virginia design community.
Awards span through categories of distinguished bodies of work, excellence in professional and community service, significant contributions to the built environment, and early career activism.
Recognizing excellent design across Charlottesville, Waynesboro, Staunton, and Harrisonburg.
Offering awards in six categories: Architecture, Contextual Design, Historic Preservation, Interiors, Residential Design, and Students & Emerging Architects. Projects may be completed as well as envisioned or unbuilt projects.
We invite organizations across all industries to support the 2026 AIA Central Virginia Chapter Honors & Design Awards Gala, to be held on October 28, 2026.
This annual event celebrates excellence in design, leadership, and service throughout our region while bringing together architects, allied professionals, clients, and community leaders.
