CSI Central Virginia is presenting a project delivery course starting Feb. 1st. The course is in preparation for the Construction Documents Technology Exam, but anyone interested in project delivery can benefit. Register here.

For those in the AECO community looking to fulfil CSI and AIA learning units, improve industry knowledge of the project delivery process, gain professional development, and connect to the network of professionals involved in the creation and management of the built environment, this course is available for you. Open to designers, specifiers, contractors, product representatives, facility managers and owners, and owner’s representatives, the course will cover roles and responsibilities of all parties involved in the project delivery process, from conception through design, documentation, preconstruction, construction, and post-occupancy.

This course is intended to prepare attendees for the CSI CDT Exam, though CSI membership and exam registration are not required. The certification, however, is baseline knowledge that those in the industry should achieve, to be on the same level of understanding and meet the same expectations. Certifications are another avenue for communication across different disciplines. It’s a way to improve not just yourself and your knowledge, but also the work and practice you do with others. Attendees will be eligible for up to 12 CSI LU’s and 22 AIA LU’s, units correspond to attendance of one course session.

There will be two scholarships available for attendees, both by raffle selection. One scholarship raffle is solely intended for student attendees and will cover their exam fee. The other is available for all attendees and intended to promote consistent attendance. Attendees who’ve completed each session will be entered in the second raffle, and the cost will cover their digital practice guidebook and a portion of their exam fee. Please note, attendees will need to purchase their own copy of CSI’s Project Delivery Practice Guide.
